Tough weekend where we really struggled for revs. We just couldn't find the power 😪 Racing chucks these weekends in to test us, but since, we've found out a lot and like to thank everyone for their help and advice! Just need to get out soon to put it right!

ROUND 2 Round Up
5th Fastest In Round 2! Consistency Will Be Key
SKRC RD2 - P12 - We are pleased with the top 50% finish after a troublesome few heats plagued with issues including a slow puncture due to a leaky mag wheel, a brake binding issue and some clutch issues.
All sorted for the final and managed to climb 5 places to 12th with the 5th fastest lap!
We know the pace is there, but consistency isn't, and that's what is to work on! Once we have that, who knows!!

Promising start to 2025 season
SKRC Round 1 Race Report
Round 1 @sheningtonkrc champs
1st race of the year and a massive learning curve, but not a bad result in tricky conditions, on used tyres that have been in the loft for 2 years! But it's what we had, so it's what we used 😀
Some good pace shown, some bad luck, some good luck but all learning.
Heat 1: took out by another spinning kart mid way through the race meant a p19 finish but the pace for p11 so unlucky there
Heat 2: P11 finish but a bad 1st couple laps and confidence in the new class with the pace for p9
Final: a spin all on my own in the final meant a p20 finish but pace for much more again.
We learn and move on! Roll on some better tyres if we can find some ✅️ thanks @kr_sport_engines

PODIUM AT RD9!

We went into Round 9 looking to get the result we have deserved for a few rounds now, and cement 3rd in the championship. With an arm injury from the skate park the week before, we decided to rest Saturday and see how Sunday practice went to see if Ronnie could race. It was fine and the races went as follows:
Heat 1: P1 ↙️ P3* Pen: P4
Heat 2: P5 ↗️ last lap spin ment P4
Heat 3: P3 ➡️ P3
After a penalty for a jump start (which we dont know why) and a spin in the 2nd Heat, we still managed to start the final in p3. After all the heats being wet, we had a bit of work on to get the kart ready for a dry final with a full wet to dry setup change.
Final: P3 ➡️ P3.
Ronnie drove very well all weekend carrying a small elbow injury and should be very happy with a podium finish. In the final, he started looking behind and worrying about others catching him, which dropped the laptimes a bit, but these are things we are learning to try and avoid. And we must remember it's our 1st season in micromax, and only our 2nd season karting!
Overall, we are very pleased with how we finished our micromax journey! Thanks to @mpcoaching.uk for sorting us a micro engine to use for the weekend! INTERMAX, HERE WE COME!
CKC National Championship- Round 2
Race Report
Round 2 took us to the stunning GYG circuit, In North Wales. As it would be our first time visiting GYG, we decided to take advantage of the KartSim setup based at silverstone the weekend before, with the idea of learning the circuit and also trying to spot where I need to improve in general. After 5 minutes, we spotted some things that should help me overall in the kart. We know I have to improve my hard braking and getting back on the throttle sooner. We left KartSim knowing the GYG circuit and with some ideas to take into my actual kart for the weekend.
When we arrived in Wales, we had some mixed weather and some kart gremlins to iron out. After a good engine overall and a new clutch on saturday night, we were ready for Sunday. And what a difference it made. The MPCoaching team worked hard with me in the morning on the track walk and getting me more in the right frame of mind to compete and be more confident.
We ran as high as P14 for half of superheat 2 & ended the race p18 for my best ever finish at National Level.
The final was the last race of the day, and after some good racing, I was handed a penalty after a collision in the early stages of the race which meant I would finish just outside the top 20 in 21st.
Another learning weekend for me and the team but I am starting to get alot closer to the middle group which is my aim for round 3 in April! I just need to find 0.3/0.4 seconds 😩 although my best laptime would but me very close to them if I got all the sectors right and all together in the lap.
